We're here to help you understand why these issues may occur.
That is the reason we are here! Let us offer you the necessary details on how to effectively store your eyelash adhesive, ensuring its freshness consistently!
WHERE SHOULD YOU STORE LASH GLUE?
BEFORE OPENING
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to store your unopened lash glue in the refrigerator, and it is crucial to highlight that it must remain in its sealed state! While in the fridge, it is essential to keep it in an airtight container alongside silica gel pouches to maintain its dryness. However, when the moment arrives for you to finally open your lash glue, ensure that you remove it from the refrigerator at least an hour before usage, allowing it to acclimate to room temperature.
Once the airtight barrier is breached, moisture will inevitably enter the container, no matter what precautions are taken. Nevertheless, there are methods to guarantee the longevity of your lash adhesive, and proper storage stands as a pivotal aspect.
AFTER OPENING
As a general guideline, it is recommended to store lash extension glue in an upright position in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight or heat. Suitable storage places, which are cool and dry, include drawers or cupboards that are not located near windows or radiators. However, always keep in mind that once you open the lash adhesive, you cannot store it in the refrigerator. Placing it back in the fridge after opening can lead to condensation forming inside the bottle, causing the glue to undergo polymerization.
It is also advisable to keep your eyelash glue in an airtight container at all times to prevent any moisture from seeping in and preserve the glue's freshness for a longer duration. By keeping the lash glue in an upright position inside the tightly screwed-on lid of the airtight container, an airtight seal is created, effectively safeguarding the adhesive from any undesired moisture infiltration. To improve moisture absorption, you can consider placing rice or silica gel pouches inside the airtight container for better results.
DOES EYELASH GLUE EXPIRE?
Regrettably, yes, eyelash glue does have an expiration date and there are several indicators to determine if it has expired. In most cases, your lash glue should remain usable for a minimum of four months. If you wish to examine the glues you currently possess, the first step is to search for a date imprinted on the bottom.
Once opened, your lash adhesive will remain usable for approximately two months until it reaches its expiration date. It is recommended to seal the lash glue before use to ensure that this way you can tell which glue has been used.
Once you have opened your lash adhesive for the first time, affix a small piece of tape onto the bottle. On this tape, jot down the date of the first opening, acting as a reminder to replace it within 6-8 weeks from that day. By doing so, you ensure utmost freshness and unparalleled durability.
At LASHSOUL, we ensure the production of a brand new supply of eyelash adhesive every 4-6 weeks, ensuring that the adhesive you receive is exceptionally fresh. Unlike other lash glue brands, our adhesive is crafted with a built-in airtight layer and stored in spacious airtight containers with silicone bags. This implies that unless you reveal your new lash glue at the salon, it will be protected from any moisture.
SIGNS OF EXPIRATION:
- Your lash adhesive is viscous and sticky.
- No sound is produced when the bottle is shaken.
- Even after shaking, the lash glue appears gray and has separated.
- There is a buildup of white residue around the adhesive nozzle.
- The lash extensions have a tendency to come off easily.
REASONS FOR EXPIRATION:
-
Your lash glue is older than 6 months.
-
Your lash glue has been exposed for over 8 weeks.
- It has been placed near a heat source, such as on a windowsill or near a radiator.
- It hasn't been stored in a container that seals tightly.
- The lid hasn't been securely screwed on.
If shock polymerization has occurred on your glue nozzle and it has turned white, it is typically a result of inadequate cleaning of the nozzle with nozzle wipes or the lid not being tightly screwed on. Don't lose hope, as this doesn't necessarily indicate that the glue inside the bottle has spoiled.
However, if you have discovered any moisture inside and surrounding the nozzle, the moisture has probably penetrated the bottle of glue as well. Hence, it is crucial to keep this in consideration.
